Ron and Susan James Retire
from SHPB -
At the Annual Robert Burns
Celebration on January 27
, 2007,
it was announced that after many,
many years of dedicated service
to the Sierra Highlanders Pipe
Band, Ron and Susan James
have decided to retire.
Ron, who is a talented piper, will
remain our spokesman, for which
we are truly grateful.  Susan is a
self-taught flourishing tenor and is
responsible for adding lots of flair
and "sparkle" to our performances
throughout the years, and well as
training other flourishing tenors.
The band presented them with a
plaque as a small token of our
appreciation and fondness and
Ron's brother Rick James
delivered a heartfelt speech.
